A collection of art entitled “Reclaimed Objects Sculptures” by Sayaka Kajita Ganz. She uses discarded plastic items from peoples’ homes, such as spoons, spatulas, clothing hangers, garden shovels and more.
I absolutely agree - I’ve seen it twice, once in Halifax and once in Toronto - and marvelled both times.
Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller - 40 Piece Motet
It’s difficult to fully convey how sublime this piece really is. I saw it in Montreal 7 years ago, and it was the closest I felt to heaven. Each of the 40 speakers plays a different part in the choir. Phenomenal.

Canberra was one of artist Penelope Stewart’s inspirations for Apian Screen, at the Harbourfront Centre. 5000 beeswax tiles cover the room, from floor to ceiling. The smell is incredible.

Canberra, designed by Walter Burley Griffin a hundred years ago. There’s something about a circular city that feels fully utopian in a way mere straight lines never can.
